"When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground."
Thanks for making our Game of Thrones LCG event a success. We had 11 players come out including long time players as well as people just learning. With the TV show and new book interest in Game of Thrones is high and Tuesday night's event solidified our decision to get a league going for one of the best card games on the market. So keep an eye out for details on that. And if you are interested in playing let us know.
Why is this card game so great?
It has a low cost. The living card game format makes it very easy to keep your card collection up to date. Most card games release sets every few months that add hundreds of new cards that can only be bought in random packs. Instead with a Living Card Game all the packs are just sets. Each monthly Chapter Pack is a playset of all the cards in that set. And the price tag is only 14.95. So for 14.95 a month you can own every card in the game.
It also has one of the best licensed properties out. And Fantasy Flight takes great pains to take the flavor of the books and make the cards match. So it feels like you are playing Game of Thrones and not just a game with pretty pictures.
For more info on this game check out the website here. For a video tutorial of the game go here.
As promised we raffled off a copy of the new Game of Thrones book, Dance With Dragons. The winner was Richard Francis, congratulations! |
